Creating PAPER MOSAICS brings me continued delight and  fulfillment as an artist. I can spend weeks gathering paper, cutting and piecing together my designs, and love every minute of it. I am continually amazed at the unlimited patterns and combinations of colors that can be created. I often look forward to starting the next piece before I have finished the one I'm working on -what could be better than that for an artist!

A Closer View

"Harmony" is a woven paper mosaic designed with lime green, blue, and black colors. An assortment of Japanese, Thai, metallic, glitter and card stock papers are incorporated. Each piece of paper is only 1/4" wide. The foundation is masonite board, the design is wrapped around the 2 inch edge and sealed with acrylic gel.

Ebony & Ivory

A Closer View

"Ebony & Ivory"  is a lavish paper mosaic created with a variety of Japanese, Thai, and handmade papers. Silver and gold metallic strips highlight the geometric design. The piece is sealed with acrylic gel and bordered with a glossy 3 inch black frame.
